Imran Khan to romance Bhumi Pednekar in comeback film with Danish Aslam? Here’s what we know

Actor Imran Khan has left everyone excited ever since he announced his comeback. The actor made his debut Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na last featured in Katti Batti in 2015. He later took a break from the industry and has been active for a while now. Looks like Imran Khan is soon making a comeback and details for the same is out.

Imran Khan to make a comeback with Bhumi Pednekar

A source close to development have spilled the details about project to Peepingmoon. Imran will share screen space with Bhumi Pednekar in comeback project. As per reports, “Imran and Bhumi will make up for an unconventional romantic pair in what is being described as a dysfunctional romantic dramedy. Bhumi is not contractually signed yet, but she’s verbally on board and is excited to explore a lighthearted genre.”

Further speaking of the project, this is what source has said. The yet-untitled project is said to be a breezy entertainer that offers a fresh take on the kind of roles that made Imran a household name. Danish Aslam, who previously helmed Imran and Deepika Padukone’s much-loved 2010 rom-com, Break Ke Baad, is directing this film from the script written by Suhani Kanwar. Imran and Danish are also producing it in partnership with Open Air Films. The film is currently in the writing stage, with the final draft expected by next month, after which pre-production will officially commence. Shooting is tentatively scheduled to start in March 2025.

When asked about reuniting with Imran, Break Ke Baad director said Bollywood Bubble, “Yes, I’ve been asked this question several times, especially over the past week. We are working on a project together. Imran is a very close friend of mine; he’s been a friend since our daughters were born just one month apart. So, we are working on something. What it is, I cannot say yet. We will make that public very soon, as soon as it becomes formalized. It’s a work in progress.”
